In October 2018, Greg and Cindy opened House of Photography GIFT SHOP, featuring unique gifts. Nacogdoches is as unique as its own spelling. We proudly claim Nacogdoches as THE OLDEST TOWN IN TEXAS! The only Texas town that has flown NINE FLAGS! Plus...it's where the Marx Brothers rumored to have started their career, where Bonnie and Clyde laid low, where Father Marhil struck the ground producing a sping that claims healing power. House of Photography
House of Photography is located in the historic Victorian home built for Albert A. Nelson in 1898. The home has seen many changes and owners over the past 100 plus years. It was designed by Diedrich Rulfs, who designed more than 50 homes, churches and buildings in Nacogdoches from the 1880s until the 1920s. Many are listed as Texas Historical Landmarks or National Register Landmarks.
The mere fact that we operate out of this gorgeous home gives our studio an edge others cannot compete with. It's not just the unique look we can achieve from our in-studio portraits either. Our studio is an inviting place where clients and prospective clients alike may leisurely engage in one of our no-obligation consultations. While we get to know you better, your children are free to enjoy the playhouse and play area. This process helps the entire family feel comfortable when the time comes to take portraits.
